Experience before the Most Holy Sacrament. Testimony

Testimony – Gerda Chișărău

The next experience happened to me in October 2002, when I had the honor of participating for the first time in a pro-life conference organized in Vienna by Dietmar Fischer and his collaborators from Human Life International (HLI) Austria. Regretted Dr. Antun Lisec had invited me and put me in touch with Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, the then president of HLI, who later integrated the Darul Vieții (Gift of Life) Association into the international Catholic pro-life network.

So it was a decisive moment in my life, which, together with the next experience, definitively marked my/our trajectory of activity for the following decades.

The conference days were spread around the feast of St. Mary Queen of the Rosary and during those days of speeches, adoration took place simultaneously day and night in a chapel of the Catholic Church Maria vom Siege (Mary of the Victory), located in the immediate vicinity of the conference hall – this being part of the pro-life conference program.

They asked us, the participants, to divide our hours and cover the 24 hours / day for adoration every day.

As the streets of Vienna were deserted at night and you could still meet strange characters, I only went in the evening, after the program for adoration, I was afraid to go at night, although I was very attracted to the night hours.

It was past 10:00 pm one evening and I was in that Chapel together with 10-15 other people. Suddenly the Blessed Sacrament became alive, abundant, vivid, luminous, penetrating rays began to emerge and flooded not only the entire room, but also our souls, our interior, and they went out of the Chapel to the entire world.

I understood then that this is the source of all the goodness and beauty that exists in the world. I looked around and the others seemed to notice nothing extraordinary in the room.

Everything was transfigured, as if I had entered another dimension. It lasted a few moments, maybe minutes, then everything became as before.

In 2003, we began to establish the Darul Vieții Association, knowing that our source, power and inspiration come from here, as the movement in defense of life in Austria and around the world also functioned: around the Chapels of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration.

In 2006 – 4 years later – Father Justo Lofeudo came to found the Chapel of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in our Parish (Queen of Peace) and I told him about that experience. He didn’t say anything but he gave me a book in Spanish with such testimonies in which several people around the world had similar experiences before the Most Holy Sacrament.

Praise the Lord for His great mercy with us!
